Dr. Shideh Barikani

Dr. Shideh Barikani discovered her calling in dentistry through a childhood fear that transformed into inspiration. A previously dreaded dental visit turned into excitement when a compassionate dentist allayed her fears at the age of 10. This positive encounter ignited her desire to become a dentist and change perceptions of dental care.

Dr. Shideh finished her Bachelor of Science degree in biology at University of Calgary and moved to New York to complete her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University. Practicing since 2015, Dr. Shideh is well versed in all aspects of dentistry, from routine check-ups to complex treatments.

Driven by a passion for dentistry as both a science and an art, Dr. Shideh finds fulfillment in crafting beautiful smiles and alleviating patient anxieties. She places a strong emphasis on preventive care and patient education. Her goal is to always empower her patients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their oral health.

Dr. Shideh is Invisalign certified and a member of the Kois Center, which provides evidence-based dental training for dentists. Her dedication to ongoing growth and improvement allows her to deliver high-quality care and treatment, leaving her patients smiling and satisfied.
